AIDS patient dies after humiliation in Bengal govt hospital

Start of the article:
KOLKATA: An AIDS patient, who was readmitted to a government hospital in Kolkata after he was humiliated and driven out by employees, has died.

Nitai Adhikary, from Ghatal in West Midnapore, caused consternation among hospital employees after his admission to the Medical College and Hospital.

Uma Devi, Adhikary’s wife, was first told by the employees to take him away as he was an AIDS patient, but when she did not do so they yanked him out of bed and sent him packing.
